Level Art & Lighting: Abandoned Train Station

This is a Level Art project I created during an alumni mentorship at Cgspectrum College of Digital Art and Animation. My mentor for this project was Carl Shedd. He was absolutely amazing.

For this project I wanted to focus more on composition, layout, spacing, color grading, lighting, ambiance and mood. As such I decided to focus on using asset packs, megascans and the tools available to me in Unreal Engine 5.1 such as the modeling tools. I used the modeling tools in Unreal Engine 5 to model all of the custom models. The bumper cars were made in Autodesk Maya. I utilized a very large number of asset packs from the unreal engine marketplace that I bought and assets I acquired previously from the free for the month tab on the marketplace.

The music and edits were done in Adobe Premiere Pro after setting up my shots in UE5.1 and rendering them out as a master sequence. Music from paid version of Soundstripe.

I am responsible for all aspects of this project (including asset pack sourcing) but I received weekly feedback and notes from Carl Shedd during the full length of the project.

A special thanks to Carl Shedd for all of your amazing feedback and for putting up with me for 12 weeks while working on this project. It was a ton of fun and I don't think I have learned so much in such a short period of time before.
